Women- who is she????
Is she really a gift ,treasure or just a bunch of blood and flesh.
And if one chooses the  former  my question to them  is that  then why still women is being molested, why is she raped, why is she a victim of domestic violence and most importantly why she gets the punishment for the wrongdoings of  the men.

History is evident of the fact that women have never been considered equal to men, rather they are not even considered as human beings. According to the male dominating society they are nothing but a bunch of flesh and bones.
We say that we are in the 20th century, we are modern, developed, technical, knowledgeable and what not..............   But even in this era women are facing tough challenges.Still dowry system exist, still there are cases of dowry death , domestic violence have not yet ended, still girl child are being aborted and the cases of rape and molestation has no end.
Why can't a girl move around wherever she wants after sunset  like those of guys?? For how many days we expect them to be inside their houses to protect themselves from the rapist and the molesters. why these molesters can roam , can enjoy their freedom and move anywhere they want but not the women. what is their fault?? what is their mistake??  And if the answer to these question is that there is no fault then why shall they suffer for the mistake of others.
The situation is getting worse day by day. The insecurity level amongst the women is rising. There is hardly any space left where women are comfortable or they can feel they are secured. why a girl, even in her own house not safe??? why a wife feels insecure in her husband's home??? There are various such question and if we search for answers we get no practical reasons.
If these questions are put in front of the lawyers and the politicians they would answer-"we have various acts, provisions etc. to safeguard the women of the country". But the counter question is  that are these legal provisions actually safeguarding the women. And the answer to this question is known to everyone.

Why India is one amonst those top rated country unsafe for women??
why women can't seek justice??
why these rapist and molesters lead a life full of freedom and relaxation??
why the women who were raped not accepted by the society??
why these women lea a life full of humiliation??

Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam stated that :-

"development of a country can be analysed by looking at the condition of women of  the country" .

India today has technologically developed, and the women of the country have a major hand in this development.women are contributing to the development of the country then why can not the county (by country here I mean the citizens of the country) contribute to the development of the women.

Many say that law is an instrument that creates fear amonst the people and restrain them from doing socially unaccepted things.morality may differ from people to people but law doesn't, in the eyes of law everyone is equal.morality may not force one to be correct but law does.

Even when there are numerous laws regarding women such as commission of sati act 1987,  dowry prohibition act 1961, national commission for women act 1990, protection of women against domestic violence act 2005, protection of women against sexual harassment act 2007 we see that criminals are not punished, why even law cannot create a feeling of fear within the rapist and molesters. The answer is very simple - because the laws relating to protection and safeguarding women are not strict but are linient. As said by justice Gyan sudha Misra - “I have no hesitation saying that the Code for Criminal Procedure and the Indian Evidence Act need to be updated urgently. Let the outrage at the rape lead to a logical conclusion.”

After witnessing so many cases of violence against women , its high time when the government and the society starts differentiating between what the present situation is  and what it ought to be.The main problem India is facing regarding this issue is that, it is failing to implement those strict rules and regulation which may bring deterrence and which in turn will bring decency and peace in the society.

There is a need for the society to change , it needs to understand that the people who should be shunt in the society are not those women  but those unethical men. Its not yet too late, the society should now stop taking out flaws in those sufferers and need to revolt against those who made someone suffer.

For how long can we avoid these problems, those women have life but die every moment needs the support of the society. Its quite easy to provide justice to those who want and can afford to have it  but what those who are not raising there voice out of emotions, what about those who cannot afford to have justice.A proper system needs to implemented so that law doesn't remains only with the rich but also for the poor.

At the end I would like to put forward in front of you a question that is worth debating - what does rape deserves?? Are the present laws enough or  there is a need of amendment??
